Allstudentsarethereforerequiredtotakeacertainnumberofgeneral education courses (English, science, history, math, etc.). College students must also choose one subject to study in depth. This is their major. Since students usually take almost half of their courses in their major, it’s very important for students to choose a major they’re going to enjoy. Students who don’t know what they want to major in when they go to college have an “undecided” major. These students can use their first year of college to take their required courses. They can also use this year to talk to their advisor, visit the Career Center, and learn about the majors that are available at their college. The two most popular college majors are Business and Education. Here are some of the other popular college majors.
