This test is given in October at your high school, or at a high school nearby. Your counselor will provide you with information about this test. Why should you take the PSAT/NMSQT? 1. It’s good practice for the SAT. 2. You find out how your skills compare to the skills of other college bound students. 3. When you get your scores back you can see what areas you need to work on. 4. Exceptionally high scores can lead to scholarship opportunities. What does this test cover? The PSAT/NMSQT has been redesigned and now includes assessments in Reading, Writing and Language, and Math. How do you prepare? A free study guide and practice test is available at collegeboard.org/psat. FALL TEST If you’re planning to go to a four-year college, you need to take the ACT and/or SAT.
