While many students take both the ACT and SAT, a number of college admissions counselors recommend that you take a practice test for both, and then spend all of your time and energy preparing for the test you are likely to do better on. Cramming the night before the test won’t do any good. Get a good night’s sleep. Dress in layers. Testing centers can be too hot or too cold. Dress in layers so that you’ll be comfortable no matter what the temperature of the room is. Arrive early. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the testing center so that you aren’t hurried or rushed. Have what you need. Be sure to bring a photo ID and your admission ticket. Also bring several #2 pencils, a calculator, watch, and a high-energy snack. Relax, be confident, and do your best!
