Determine what kind of job you want  Do you want to work days? Nights? Weekends? What hours are you available to work?  Do you want to work part-time or full-time? Do you want a job just for the summer, or are you looking for a long-term job in a specific career field?  Do you want to work inside or outside? Do you want to work where there’s lots of activity or where it’s quiet? Would you rather work with people (e.g., at a store or restaurant) or with things (e.g., merchandise, computers, tools)?  If money isn’t a priority, consider community service. You won’t get a paycheck, but your work will be rewarding and worthwhile.  If you are 18 or older, are you interested in working for a temp agency like Manpower?
