If your child is shy, here are some ways you can help.  Go to new places where your child is around different people. These outings will help your little one feel more at ease in new situations.  Don’t answer for your child when someone asks him/her a question.  Sometimes shy children need a little nudge. Try nudging a bit, but don’t push.  Most importantly, provide lots of love, support, encouragement, and hugs.
